Brazilian coach confirms he's trying to sign Man United's Bastian Schweinsteiger [UOL Esporte]
Bastian Schweinsteiger to Brazil?
All the major Brazilian websites are carrying the same story on Saturday night.
Belief is high that Bastian Schweinsteiger could be about to leave Manchester United to move to South America.
That's after Santos coach Dorival Junior gave a brand new interview with UOL Esporte this weekend, laying out his vision to bring the midfielder to his club.
Dorival Junior courts Schweini
The Santos manager has made the following statements to the Brazilian news outlet:
My idea, and I've tried to convince the board of Santos, is that the Santos need a player with worldwide recognition and we've been looking at names at European clubs who are suddenly not are being used and who could fit this profile.
[Bastian Schweinsteiger] fits this profile.
Whether the German World Cup winner would be open to the idea of moving to Brazil is anyone's guess.
Moreover, it's also highly debatable whether Santos would be able to pay Schweinsteiger's wages.
